The Unicorn Foundation held their annual NET Cancer Education Day on Friday 13th September at the Holiday Inn, Auckland Airport.

Dr Ben Lawrence and Dr Kate Parker were thrilled to be invited to speak about neuroendocrine cancer and share some recent updates from our research.  Avril Hull, our NET nurse specialist, also spoke and did a fantastic job coordinating the event!

This year, the NET Cancer Education Day was combined with the NET Nurse Workshop, including a nurse-specific breakout session in the afternoon providing some practical training in NET patient care.

The day was a huge success, full of information and interesting talks from NET experts, as well as providing valuable opportunities for interaction between NET patients and their advocates, clinicians and researchers.  We are very grateful for the opportunity to be involved and look forward to next year!
